my very first app – iFloaty
I got my first iPhone in 2008 and immediately fell in love with the smooth interface. I downloaded apps – both those who are helpfull during your workday and those who are just fun and then some that are simply silly.
My husband, who is a developer, and I talked about how fun it would be to make an app together. I would make the illustrations and graphics, and he would code it. Some how we came up with the idea of making an app like the old floaty pens, where you have an image of a woman on the pen and when you tip the pen, her clothes come of.
So we made iFloaty.
I wanted the pen to be some what decent – still while planning to undress my illustrations. So I chose a motif of a lady from the 1950’s, pretending to make a floaty pen for that time, so she would still be regarded as ‘naugthy’ still while wearing underwear.
We had a lot of fun working on this project together and decided to make an update of the app by adding a new girl. This time a 1970’s gogo-girl.
And to give someting to who ever prefers it, we also added a man.
Drawing the man was probably the biggest challenge, as I have only little experience in this. But an online search for male underwear got me far. And I think the outcome is nice.
Unfortunately I have only made the graphics for iFloaty for iPhone 3 so far.
